SVI update 24 March

Hello everyone, we hope you are all keeping as safe and well as you can.

These are challenging times. SVI is doing our best to support our members. None of us have been through times like these before.

Please remember that you are not on your own. We are here for you. We are contacting members and looking at the support you need. We aim to set up a telephone service with some lovely volunteers to keep in touch with you, so you have someone to chat with if you want to.

The time has come for us to close the office at the Town Hall, until social distancing is over. However there is a forward on our phone, so you will still be able to contact us.

We plan to use our social media (Facebook page and group) more, with virtual activities such as the Music of Our Lives. This is a learning curve for all of us, as we become familiar with different ways of doing things.

We will also be making every effort to keep the Sandwell Talking News going.

We are so grateful for all the help and support that members of the community have offered to SVI. So many people have volunteered to support us. It’s reassuring to know how many people there are out there who care about us all.

Stay safe. Stay well. Stay physically distant. And watch out for our next update.
