Here are some of our social and peer support activities for early 2023. We hope there is something that appeals to you.
SVI Women’s Group
Become a member of the SVI women’s group pudding club for one night only. Join us at West Bromwich Town Hall on Monday 16 January from 5pm to 7.00pm for traditional hot winter puddings (or if you are watching your waistline, something lighter). Please contact us to let us know you plan to attend.
The women’s group will also be having a Zoom get together on Monday 6 February from 2.00 to 3.30. This will be an informal get together and to plan what we want to do over the next few months.

We are relaunching our monthly face-to-face music of our lives sessions on Wednesday 18 January from 1pm to 2.30pm in our Common room at West Bromwich Town Hall. Come along and reminisce about the music that has shaped your life and chat with friends about the music that is important to them.
Active 60 – activities and trips for those of us aged 50+

Tea and Toast at SVI, West Bromwich Town Hall – a regular date for your diary
Join us on the first Wednesday of each month between 10.30am and 12noon. This is an informal session, where we welcome guest speakers who will update you on a range of subjects. Come along to enjoy a cuppa and a round or two of toast, with time to chat with friends too. On Wednesday 1 February we welcome Emma Basudev from the Sensory Team, who will tell us about aids and equipment and hints and tips on remaining independent in your home.
Appy Hour face-to-face sessions restart on Wednesday 1 February
Focusing on the technology, apps and skills we use on our mobiles, tablets and smart speakers. This peer support group will meet following tea and toast on 1 February from 1pm to 2.30pm in the SVI common room at the Town Hall. This will be our first ‘real life’ meeting since Covid and we welcome you to join us to tell us what technical support you need and learn about the latest digital developments.
