It’s National Hate Crime Awareness Week this week, from 11 to 17 October. We are joining our partners in Sandwell to say no to hate crime. SVI is one of Sandwell’s many hate crime reporting centres. We will support you if you report a hate crime to us. Hate crime can affect any one of us. Hate harms. Let’s stand together against it.
To find out more about hate crime, how to report it and the support available in Sandwell, Sandwell Talking News spoke with Cllr Richard McVittie, Sergeant Kym Jones and Rameez Akhtar, Sandwell Council Community Safety Officer. Sandwell Police and the Council, alongside other partners, work together to aid people to report hate crime and take action to stop it and ensure support is available for anyone who has been impacted by a hate crime. Find out more. Listen to the interview below or listen to it in your browser or download it as an MP3 here.
Hate harms. Together we can end this.
