Festival of cake

Cakefest!

As many of you know, our information and support worker Cassie is climbing the three peaks to raise £500 for SVI. After all those mountains we decided she needed to eat a cake or two so SVI will be holding a cake bake extravaganza to add the final cherry on top, show our support and pull in some final funds!

Pop along and enjoy three days of cake at any one of our regular activities during the festival, get involved with selling, baking or simply scoffing silly amounts of cake!

We will need more cake than Bruce Bogtrotter to make the festival a scrumptious success and could really do with some help in the baking department. Do we have any Mary Berrys with a talent for caking?  If not, fake it, don’t bake it – all goodies welcome.

There will be a prize draw for anyone who contributes to the Festival. So rise to the challenge and come show off your skills.

Contact the office on 0121 525 4810 to find out more. We do hope you can join us at the festival and help us devour all those yummy treats!

How it works

Bake or fake your cakes and bring them along to one of the below events.  For those of you who are better at savoury, be imaginative and create a savoury bake to offer to people who prefer the less sweet option.

Not a baker, then just come along to one of the below activities and munch on the delights, while helping raise funds for SVI

Monday 2 September

2.00 – 3.30: SVI men’s group at SVI base.

5.00 – 7.30pm: SVI women’s group with cake and Prosecco

All day: Cake bake trolley sale at the Town Hall and West Bromwich Library

Tuesday 3 September

10.00 -12.00: Sandwell Networkers meeting, with tea and cake.

12.00 – 1.30: Cakes at Portway.

Wednesday 4 September

10.30 -12.00: Tea and Toast drop in session…should say tea, toast and cake!

12.30 – 2.00: Appy hour with tea and cake.

All day: Cake bake trolley sale at the Town Hall and West Bromwich Library.
