A Scrumptious Success

A trolley of cakes

We were overwhelmed with the response to our Festival of Cake.  Thanks to all our generous members and friends, we raised a whopping £260! This is a huge contribution to Cassie’s ‘Three Peaks Fundraiser’.

Together we baked and brought over 30 varieties of cakes and tasty treats. And between us, with a little help from our friends, we managed to scoff the lot.

We sold cakes to at all of our activities and meetings throughout the three days of the festival. Our generous and dedicated cake buyers and eaters included:

  • The Adult Day Opportunities team
  • Sandwell Networkers group
  • Visitors and staff at West Bromwich Town Hall
  • West Bromwich Central Library
  • West Bromwich Leisure Centre
  • Portway Lifestyle Centre
  • CBS Packaging, Oldbury

Raffle draw

Cassie with the cakesWe entered all our wonderful bakers and bringers into a raffle draw.

For the bakers, our very own queen of the cake has been awarded to Tracey Smith. She displayed some imaginative and tasty baking skills including a zesty chocolate and lime cake.

For the bringers, best shopper in town was awarded to Amy Kettle who bought us some lovely tasty brownie chunks.

We cannot thank everyone enough for your ongoing support and fantastic baking (and shopping) skills.

Thanks too to everyone who put their diets aside for the cause of cake and fund raising for Three Peaks Challenge.
