Do you want to learn more about how to have positive mental health? Then how about joining us in February for some listening and counselling support sessions?
We are delighted to welcome back Saeed Nasser, a qualified counsellor who is himself visually impaired. Saeed will be sharing his knowledge with us about all matters relating to mental health. We have arranged three group evening sessions with him (two are online via the Zoom platform and one is in person here at SVI in Lodge Road). They all run from 5pm to 6.30pm.
The first Zoom session is on Monday 3 February. We’ll be exploring what positive mental health means to you, who gives you support and how to introduce more things into your life that help you feel better.
The second session is on Monday 10 February (also on Zoom) and will cover the causes of stress and anxiety and ways to manage it, with useful tools and tips to help you along life’s journey!
The third session is on Tuesday 18 February, and this will be held here at SVI (face to face). We’ll be looking at ‘goal setting’ which involves exploring your hopes and dreams and how you might work towards achieving them.
Saeed will be able to give you lots of useful hints and suggestions along the way, mixed in with humour and a down to earth approach.
You can pick and choose which sessions you attend – whatever interests you the most!
Saeed will also be available for one-to-one listening and counselling support sessions which can be arranged on an individual basis.
