For those of you who have ever attended an audio described performance at the theatre, you will be aware that before the commencement of the production there is an audio description of the characters, costumes and sets to set the scene for visually impaired patrons. ITV have been working in a similar vein to assist users of Audio Description when accessing TV programmes, and we are pleased to announce that the recent airing of the new six‑part drama Trigger Point, which commenced on Sunday 23 January 2022 on ITV 1 at 9.00 pm, now has this accompaniment to the series.
ITV are delighted to publicly launch their first set of character descriptions – five main characters describing themselves visually, combined with some hi-res images to aid facial recognition for partially sighted users. Check out the Trigger Point character descriptions here on YouTube.
