Sandwell Talking News Annual General Meeting Monday 25 February 2019

Time 11.00am to 1.30pm

Venue: Community Room, West Bromwich Central Library, High Street, West Bromwich B70 8DZ.

You are warmly invited to join the Sandwell Talking News committee, volunteers, listeners and friends for our Annual General Meeting at the above address. Please note that the Community Room is the room on your left after you climb the stairs from the entrance. (Where the Macular Group meet.)

This year, our Guest Speaker is Jonathan Horniblow from Talking News Services, who will tell us about the new and exciting Alexa developments and how you can listen to our talking news and other audio titles.

As well as conducting the formal business section of the meeting, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers and readers, our creative and technical experts, our funders and supporters.

A big thank you also to our listeners who have continued to receive the mailed audio, access the TN via our website and now through the Amazon Echo devices and phone service.

We also hope to welcome Councillors, organisational representatives and colleagues who have supported the Sandwell Talking News, by raising awareness of our service across Sandwell.

Light refreshments will be provided, however please note that travel expenses cannot be paid for this event.

It is not necessary to book a place in advance however if you wish to notify the SVI office of your attendance please call 0121 525 4810 or email info@sandwellvisuallyimpaired.org.uk.
