Tea and Toast

Pop in to our base at West Bromwich Town Hall on the first Wednesday morning of each month from 10:30am to 12 noon to enjoy a slice of toast, other tasties and a cuppa over a chat with your SVI friends. Help is on hand from our staff who can offer support with anything you need to get sorted. We have guests from other organisations who will tell you about their services and how they can help you.

Photographer and SVI member Karren Visser will share her new arts project in collaboration with Multistory. This will explore sensory photography and challenge traditional ways of seeing. Throughout 2020 Karren will be running workshops with people and communities in Sandwell and the project will result in a multi-sensory exhibition and launch event in Summer 2020.

There will be lots of ways to be involved in this project, including photographing, being photographed, sharing your experiences of living in Sandwell with sight impairment and taking part in creative workshops led by Karren.

If you are interested in getting involved with the photography project, you can come along to a meeting directly after the tea and toast session. This will be in Committee Room C at the Town Hall.
