Do you love looking after dogs and have a few hours a week to spare to help our blind and visually impaired members by dog sitting?

We need friendly dog minders to look after our members’ guide dogs while our members take part in activities like the gym and swimming.

We need volunteers who will mind the dogs, following guide dog etiquette. You must be able to appreciate how and why guide dogs must be treated as working dogs not pets.

Time commitment:  An hour to two hours once a week or fortnight.

Day and times: Mainly Tuesdays

Location: West Bromwich Leisure Centre or Portway Lifestyle Centre.

Volunteers will receive guide dog etiquette awareness training.

Travel and other out of pocket expenses will be met.
