Quiz night – Friday 16 August
Come on all you brain boxes! Join our quiz night on Friday 16 August at Dartmouth Central Club, Devonshire Drive, West Bromwich, B71 4AA starting at 7.30pm, the venue opens at 7pm. You can have a team of up to five including one who can write the answers down. Don’t worry if you don’t have a team, we will match you up. There is a prize for the winners. The cost per team is £20 payable on the night. This includes the quiz entry and sandwiches in the interval. There will also be a raffle and ‘Play Your Cards Right’ so plenty of chances to win. Please call the SVI office to book.
Sandwell Valley Country Park – Thursday 29 August
Come and join us on Thursday 29 August for a chance to try mini golf, four person Surrey cycling or pedalos and visit the farm. Why not bring your own packed lunch? Dress according to the weather and activities you want to try. We will meet at West Bromwich bus station at 10:30am, where you can either walk or taxi share to the park. This is a pay on the day event, if you want to know more about the prices just ask when you book.
Haden Hill House – Wednesday 18 September
Fancy a day out at one of our local historic buildings, Haden Hill House set in beautiful parkland. We have negotiated for you a personal guided tour of the house on Wednesday 18 September at 11.00am. The cost is £5 per person, payable on the day, to include the tour, tea or coffee and a piece of cake. We will meet at the bus stop outside the park; the stop is called Haden Hill Park on Halesowen Road at 10:30am or outside the house at 10.50am. Call the office to book your place
Horse Race Night – Saturday 5 October
On Saturday 5 October join us at Dunstall Park Racecourse. Our evening starts at 5.30pm prompt as the first race is at 6pm. We will have a three course meal, a chance to place a bet, Sing along Mamma Mia and dance the night away with the resident DJ till midnight. The cost per person is £42.50, travel arrangements to be confirmed nearer the time for which there may be an extra charge. You will need to pay for your own drinks and betting. Your place is confirmed once payment has been received.
Christmas Shopping at Clarkes Village – Thursday 21 November
We know it’s early, but on Thursday 21 November we have a 32 seater coach to take us to Clarkes Village in Street, Somerset. It is an early start so we get the whole day there and we will have a couple of pick up points. The coach fare is £16 each. Full payment required upon booking.
Christmas Afternoon Tea – Wednesday 11 December
On Wednesday 11 December, we will be indulged at The Plough and Harrow, Hagley Road, with a sumptuous afternoon tea. Make your own way there and join us at 2.00pm for sandwiches, scones and cake washed down with a glass of prosecco and your choice of hot drink, all of this for £18 per person. Call to book and pay. For those who prefer to meet us in West Bromwich, travel arrangements can be arranged at an extra cost.
