SVI members have a tasty new option on their Zoom menu. An exciting new Indian cookery class has just started up, specially designed to cater for people with varying degrees of sight loss. Our members are learning new skills, not least the secret to perfect, fluffy basmati rice, cooked either in a pan or the microwave. Hosted by our own Fanny and Johnnie Craddock, Krupa and Kiran Patel, the first session was definitely a tastebud tantaliser. Kiran reminded us that with a bit of imagination and care, cooking for people with sight loss can be so much more than reheating a microwave or frozen meal.
