A great opportunity to buy your festive gifts in a relaxed environment with friends and family.\nFree entry. \nThe winter festivities start here\, with stalls packed full of lovely crafts and goodies to fill those Christmas stockings. Or just blow away the winter blues by treating yourself to something special. There’s help on hand to show you round the stalls\, light refreshments to purchase\, a chance to take part in the raffle and generally have a jolly time chatting and mingling with SVI friends and guests. It’s a fun way to get your gifts for Christmas and helps raise funds for the Active 60 group. Invite all your friends to come along too. Refreshments and a fish and chip lunch on board.  There will be a chance to stretch your legs and even try out the locks with our friendly skipper Tony and his crew. \nWe will meet at West Bromwich Bus Station\, at 10am and travel together by minibus to the Wildside Activity Centre in Wolverhampton\, where we will board the narrowboat for our day out. \nNote: if you want to make your own way to the Wildside Activity Centre\, the cost of the trip will be £15 without transport.

DESCRIPTION:Our first New Year activity for Active 60 is  in traditional Scottish style.  We invite all of you Active 60 lads and lassies to join us for a Robbie Burns lunch at the Court of Requests in Oldbury\, Church St\, Oldbury B69 3AF on Wednesday 22 January. A table has been booked for us at 12 noon. \nIt would be lovely if you could wear your Scots kilts to celebrate the occasion in true Scottish style. You can partake of haggis\, neeps and tatties\, a tasty Scottish burger or just order from the standard menu. Please note; you will need to buy your own lunch and drinks for this event. \nPlease go direct to the Court of Request if you know where it is\, otherwise\, if you plan to travel on public transport from West Bromwich Bus Station and you are not sure of the way\, we can meet you at the usual place opposite the Billiard Hall near to West Bromwich Bus Station at 11.30am and travel with us to Oldbury. \nPlease ring the SVI office on 0121 525 4810 to book your place. If you want to meet at West Bromwich\, please let us know when you call. DESCRIPTION:Your friends at the Active 60 group are pleased to invite you to Santa’s turkey sandwich party. \n(This event is for members aged 50 and over\, although their younger family members and friends are also welcome.) \nJoin Santa for turkey sandwiches and other seasonal treats\, followed by mince pies and cake. Tea and coffee can be purchased or you can partake of something stronger from the licensed bar. \nSanta and his cheeky helpers have promised to bring a small gift for everyone\, so he’s bound to know who has been naughty or nice! \nChristmas tunes\, games\, a raffle and pass the parcel will make the afternoon a real Christmas cracker!
