Our new Azabat touch-typing course starts on Thursday 9 June from 2pm to 4pm at West Bromwich Central Library, B70 8DZ.
Ever wanted to use a computer or tablet but didn’t know where to start? Whether you are partially sighted or have no sight at all this course could be for you. Learning to touch type will help you to surf the web, send e-mails, write letters, keep in touch with your friends, get out and meet new friends and learn new skills.
SVI is working in partnership with Sandwell Adult and Family Learning (SAFL) to deliver this 6-week, free introductory programme.
Azabat is a piece of software that can help teach people to touch type in easy stages. It uses speech and clear print and is a fun way to learn. These keyboard awareness sessions will give you the confidence to use either a standard or touchscreen keyboard – skills useful for computers, tablets or smartphones.
