A fun night’s curryoke

SVI member Louise is standing holding a microphone singing

At first, I was afraid, I was petrified…. but I needn’t have been. SVI’s curryoke at the Yew Tree turned out to be a wonderful night.

The minute I walked in the joint, I could see it’s not only girls who want to have fun. Lots of SVI members were already enjoying themselves, having a drink and deciding what songs to sing.

You can’t curry love, but I loved the curries, they were amazing. The Yew Tree put on a brilliant spread for us, including three different curries, rice, naan, chips, and even pizza – something for everyone. They also kindly donated a couple of bottles for our raffle.

SVI member Dawn said: “It was a really good night. Susan (Latham –  SVI Business Support Officer) was absolutely fantastic – I’m surprised she hasn’t gone into the theatre!’’

So many singers, great voices, lots of food and drink and a bit of dancing in the dark – all in all a great night.

Thanks to all our staff, volunteers and members for making it such a memorable night.
