Part-time Enablement Worker wanted (18hrs per week)

Sandwell Visually Impaired [SVI] has a vacancy for a one year, eighteen hours a week, part-time Enablement Worker. Someone who will offer practical assistance to help us provide services to people living with sight loss.

We want the right person, who will have good interpersonal skills, be empathetic, offer assistance in an empowering way and who will encourage and value the aspirations and potential of visually impaired people ‑ someone who has the ability to encourage visually impaired people to become more actively involved in SVI.

Duties will be varied, offering sighted support at events, helping organise information and promotional activities, assisting us to set up and run members' meetings, conferences and marketing campaigns and generally offering a helping hand. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a job where no two days are the same.
