Sandwell Council consultation on the future funding of SVI - December 2016

Sandwell Council is carrying out a consultation about its future funding for Sandwell Visually Impaired.

SVI is a user-led charitable organisation which provides a range of support services for visually impaired people in Sandwell. Sandwell Council currently pays for administration and staffing costs for two part time workers at 18.5 hours each - our development worker and a business support (admin) officer. The Council also provides the office premises for SVI.

It is very important that if services run by visually impaired people in Sandwell matter to you, your family, friends and carers that you share your views with the Council. Anyone with an interest in services for visually impaired people in Sandwell can take part.

Sandwell Council said: "As we try to deal with the biggest budget cuts in our history, we are seeking views on our proposals for the future of funding of SVI. As a member of SVI, your views about this are very important to us and we would like to hear from you."

Here's how you can get your voice heard.
